I would like to tell something about myself. My name is Hans van der
Ham and I am 60 years old. As a child, I was often called "Hammie".
So this explains the name of this site. I live in a new part of Zaandam, close to "The Zaanse
Schans", a famous tourist attraction (see my links). Zaandam is about 5 km
north of Amsterdam. I am married to Gon and have a son of 37 years of
age and a grandson who is 12 years old. His name is Mike.
Ah.......you will have a look in my house? Well, here it
is............living room, kitchen, garden and hobby room.
My work:
I
am branch manager at "Gall & Gall". This is a retail
spirit-dealer, part of the Ahold chain (one
of the greatest Supermarket chains in the world. Ahold's headquarters and roots are here in Zaandam, where I live. I
worked by Ahold since 1962. At that time, there where only some hundreds of
supermarkets in the Netherlands. I worked in one of the first supermarkets in
Holland.
Between Novembre 2005 and May 2006, I was
temporarily branch manager at the "Jodenbreestraat", Amsterdam centre.
In may 2008, I am pre-retired.
My 4 colleagues and I, try to do our utmost, to give our clients, all kinds
of information about the beverages we sell. This giving of information is for us
great fun and we love to do it this way. Our specialty in the shop, is the presents/gifts section. My branch is situated in the Mall/shopping
centre, called
"Boven 't Y", Buikslotermeerplein 342, Amsterdam-north.
Hobby and sparetime:
My hobby interest is
using my computer a lot. For the time
being mainly Internet communications. Now I make websites for other people too.
